The counties in Michigan and Georgia are named after John Macpherson
Berrien.
Michigan was naming counties after Jackson's Cabinet members. I
guess out of gratitude, since they where up for statehood and these
were the guys that got to vote on it.
(John Berrien voted against California's statehood. Maybe they should
have named a county after him!)
Georgia was paying tribute to a well-liked Senator and U.S. Attorney
General from their state.
Anyway as a result of the county names, here are some interesting
sites.

Berrien Hills C.C.

It's
good to be the King. I figure if the right (million or so) people
suddenly drop dead. I may be in line for the throne. "Long
live King Ralph!"
Somethings I'm still looking into:
1Sarah H.

2 Clas Berriens Parents and other Children
3 Jan Berriens other Children
